ASUS recently released the Eee PC 1215P, a 12.1 inch laptop powered by a 1.66GHz dual-core Intel Atom N570 processor, that is available with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed in Italy.
Except for its larger dimensions and screen with 1366x768 maximum resolution the hardware specs are pretty standard for a current Eee PC. The 1215P comes with a 0.3 megapixel webcam, an SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA port, Ethernet port, wireless networking (802.11b/g/n standard) and a six-cell lithium-ion battery for up to 8 hours' battery life. Bluetooth 3.0 is optional.
While only variants of Windows 7 are mentioned on ASUS' product page the Ubuntu certified Eee PC 1215P is also available with Ubuntu Linux in Europe, where it is offered by the Italian retailer Monclick.
