ASUS Eee PC 900

Asus Eee PC 900 Black

The ASUS Eee PC 900 is equipped with an Intel Celeron M 900 MHz processor and offers a wide range of options for mobile computing. Eee's shockproof design, a weight of 2.2 pounds (less than 1kg), dimensions of 8.9 x 6.5 x 0.9 inches (22.5 x 17 x 2 cm), and the energy saving Solid State Disk (SSD) technology make this netbook an optimal outdoor companion anywhere, anytime.
The ASUS Eee PC 900 20G features a 8.9 inch widescreen, a 1.3M pixels webcam, and 20GB storage capacities for GNU Linux operating systems.
The Linux version runs Xandros, which is a Debian-based distribution created by the Xandros Corporation, which also offers professional support. Xandros features popular applications like OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Thunderbird, and is well-suited to be run in a mixed environment with Windows. The Xandros GUI is a modified version of KDE.

Hi, I've had my 900 for 8

Hi, I've had my 900 for 8 months and could not be happier. I run kubuntu on it with all of my favourite programs and it does a fantastic job. I was so taken by this system that I've 'converted' 5 Windozzzz to be users to get same 900 system and distro as mine.

I got one too using Debian

I got one too using Debian CLI.
Trying to make it somehow a server.
Planning to make it dualboot between wincows and debian, windows mostly becaus my school uses windows server so i'll have to do that.

First off this dont have 20gb

First off this dont have 20gb only 16 gb ssd and it dont have Bluetooth!

You are right about

You are right about Bluetooth, so I changed the specs here, thanks. According to the product specifications on the ASUS website the Linux Eee 900 has a 20 GB Solid State Drive.
Did you buy this Eee 900 model and it only contained 16 SSD storage?

My EeePc bought 1 month ago

My EeePc bought 1 month ago has a 16GB drive, and was the Linux model.

The information for this

The information for this particular model is partly taken from the Amazon product page where the netbook is sold with 20 GB SSD.
Of course this does not mean that there are no other storage options the Eee 900 is available with.

There are both 16GB and 20GB

There are both 16GB and 20GB versions of the 900 Linux. The 20GB model actually has two SSDs: a 4GB for / and /usr and 16GB for /home. I am very happy with it -- using Xandros so far, but I will probably explore Ubuntu Netbook Remix or something like too. Note: if you are a "real" Linux user, you can get a more familiar environment with Xandros -- search for "Advanced Desktop" -- it works well. But the "Easy desktop" is actually nice, once you learn that ctrl-alt-T gets you a shell window.

Where in the UK can i buy

Where in the UK can i buy this asus Linux netbook please.

There are some Eee PC 900

There are some Eee PC 900 offers on Amazon.co.uk.

The Xandros operating system

The Xandros operating system is really confusing me as I cannot find much support for it, I cannot fix my PDF viewer which is the main reason that I use it, also I cannot update the normal programs in add and remove, I think I will install a different linux os. It seems the ubuntu is the most popular can anyone give me some good links of how to do this.
Also can anyone know if there are anyone I can get to have a look at it in the UK.
cheers
