ASUS Eee PC 901

Asus Eee PC 901 Black

The ASUS Eee PC 901 20G is an ideal option for reliable outdoor usage. The built-in Solid State Drive (SSD) technology provides for shockproof computing, little power consumption and heat, and short boot up times.
You will hardly notice that you carry a laptop since it only weighs 2.5 lbs (1.1 kg) and measures 8.9 x 6.9 x 1.6 inches (22.6 x 17.5 x 4.5 cm). The ASUS Eee PC 901 20G features a 8.9 inch widescreen, a 1.3M pixels webcam, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, and 20GB storage capacities for GNU Linux operating systems.
The Xandros Linux distribution named after the Greek island of Andros is a good choice for running mixed Linux and Windows environments and comes with popular software such as OpenOffice.org, Firefox, and Thunderbird.

Not a Transflective

Not a Transflective screen.

This device does not have a passive screen which can be illuminated by natural light, to my knowledge.

This is my understanding of the definition of transflective...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transreflective_liquid_crystal_display

I'm looking to buy a transflective atom netbook (preferably shipped with Ubuntu) whenever one becomes available.

Based on your data sheet I'd be taking out my credit card.

However, I believe it is plain false that this device has a transflective screen, with the only mainstream ultraportable devices with transflective screen being the super-expensive Toshiba Portege to my knowledge.

Please update your data sheet with the correct specifications, or send me any Asus material which claims a transflective screen, in which case I'll buy it.
