The ASUS Eee PC X101 is a netbook with a 10.1" screen, powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom N435 processor. The X101 was showcased at Computex 2011 a few months ago running MeeGo and is now available with this Linux based mobile operating system pre-installed.
The netbook is equipped with 1GB of DDR3 RAM (2GB max.), 8 GB SSD storage, an SD/SDHC/MMC card reader, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 2 x USB 2.0 ports and a 3-cell battery for up to 4 hours of operation. It comes with built-in WiFi 802.11b/g/n and optional Bluetooth 3.0 support, weighing only 2 pounds (0.92kg) and measuring 10.3 x 7 x 0.7 inches (262 x 180 x 17.6mm).
Of several Linux based models ASUS recently released, the Eee PC X101 is the one with the lowest price. It is available in the US from Amazon.com for US $231.13 and in Germany from Amazon.de for €169 (~US $244).
