Right in time for the holiday season the Google Chrome team implemented some changes in their software, including a different login screen, a revamped tabs page, and a completely different Chrome Web Store user interface, with a much heavier use of graphics, which I like less than the previous UI.
More importantly though, for people considering to buy a Chromebook, are the price-drops of up to $80 for the different Samsung and Acer models that are available.
So Google did their part to make this the season for Chromebooks but it remains to be seen whether customers play along. Are you more likely to buy a Chromebook at a reduced price?
