The Indamixx Portable Studio Laptop is a netbook targeted at musicians who need a mobile studio for creating, mixing, and editing audio. The 2nd edition of the Portable Studio Laptop is based on the MSI Wind netbook in contrast to the first edition, which is based on the Sylvania G Meso.
The Indamixx Laptop is equipped with an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard disk drive, Intel 945 Express graphics chipset, a multi card reader, 1 x VGA port, 3 x USB ports, 10/100 Ethernet, WiFi 802.11g, 1x headphone line out port, 1 x microphone line in port, stereo speakers. The netbook measures
10.23" x 7.08" x 1.25" (L x W x H) and weighs 2.6 Pounds. The battery is stated to last up to 4 hours.
The Indamixx Laptop ships with the Ubuntu 9.04 based Transmission 3.0 Linux distribution, which is designed for doing music production. It comes with a newly-updated real-time kernel that combined with the real-time JACK offers excellent low-latency performance.
