The Terra A20 is the first netbook by ZaReason, a Linux hardware builder based in Berkeley, California. The Terra A20 has a 10" matte LCD screen and is powered by an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor. It comes with the Intel GMA 950 chipset, a 640x480 Webcam, 3 USB ports, SD memory card slot, VGA port, Ethernet port, headphone and mic jacks, and a battery that lasts up to 3.5 hrs.
The Classmate PC is a small laptop designed to meet the educational needs of young students. It is built by a variety of manufacturers based on a reference design by Intel who produce the chips that power these netbooks.
Though made for profit one of the goals is to provide an affordable, robust, child-friendly computer for classrooms especially in the developing world, similar to the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) project.
