Good news for anyone looking for a state of the art netbook running Ubuntu: Linux system builder System76 created a successor to their 1st generation Starling Netbook with improved hardware specs running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04.
A year after launching their Starling Netbook, Linux system builder System76 come up with a new small laptop targeted at students, which will start shipping in the 1st week of May, 2010.
The Simmbook by Indian manufacturer Simmtronics is a 10" screen netbook equipped with an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 3-in-1 (MMC/SD/MS/MS Pro) card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Kensington lock port, a 10/100 Ethernet controller, WiFi 802.11b/g, and a 2200mAh 3 cell Li-Ion battery.
The ZaReason Teo, that I just discovered on Amazon.com, looks like the successor of the Terra A20, which was the first netbook by ZaReason, who build laptops, desktops, and servers running Ubuntu Linux or derivatives.
