Just a few weeks after the latest Chromebook release from Samsung, a successor for the Acer AC700 was announced today, the Acer C7 Chromebook.
After a longer period of not offering non-Windows netbooks Acer is one of the first companies to release a laptop that runs the Chrome OS operating system. The Acer Cromia Chromebook has an 11.6" HD Widescreen LED-backlit display, is powered by a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom dual-core N570 processor and is equipped with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB SSD.
When I first read that Acer is going to release an Android netbook I was happy that they did not abandon Linux in contrast to ASUS, only to learn a few days later that the netbook will be offered as a dual boot system with Android and Windows 7.
The Aspire One is a small notebook by Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Acer Incorporated. The netbook has a 8.9" CrystalBrite LED Backlit LCD screen, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 512 GB RAM, 8 GB of flash-based solid state storage, and a 3-cell battery. The One is also available with a 2.5" 120 GB hard disk drive.
