Here is a video featuring the brand new Samsung Series 5 Chromebook being unboxed and booted for the 1st time. After reading product descriptions and watching introductory videos one expects the Chromebook to be fast and easy to use, but when you boot it for the 1st time you'll need a little more patience.
This video shows the netbook edition of Ubuntu Lucid Lynx being booted on an HP 2133 Mini-Note netbook. There is hardly more to say except that the boot time is about 1' 20" with the following drivers working: B43 wifi driver, Bluetooth, OpenChrome VGA, Webcam, and ALSA 1.0.23 sound card.
This short video shows Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Alpha 2 being booted on an Acer Aspire One D250 netbook in about 30 seconds.
There is not much more to say about this video, except that it shows the recently released Pre-Beta of Jolicloud being booted on an ASUS Eee PC 901 in about 13 seconds (impressive), presumably from the solid-state drive of the netbook.
