In the last post we have seen Android running on the Wabook EPC1029, a netbook powered by an ARM based Rockchip CPU. But thanks to the efforts of the people behind the Android-x86 project the popular operating systems also runs on the x86 platform, see the Eee PC 1000HE Honeycomb demo for another example.
The video above shows Android Ice Cream Sandwich, to be more exact version 4.0.3, running on the ASUS X101 netbook. It looks pretty snappy and usable, which is no surprise after recent feedback on netbooks with Android in this Google+ thread.
I wonder whether manufacturers will pick up the Android port for the x86 platform and equip netbooks that go into production with this operating system. What do you think?
