What do you think boots faster a 3.4GHz dual core hyper threading workstation booting Windows 7 or an Eee PC 900 netbook booting Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha 5?

Ubuntu boots in about 45s on the netbook and Windows 7 in about 1min 24s on the more powerful desktop.

hi i do hate windows more than it should be allowed. but are sure this is not related the performance difference between Sata hard Disks and SSD Disks?

This benchmark is certainly a bit like comparing apples and oranges, but it's fun somehow. Of course, It would be more insightful to compare both operating systems on the same hardware.
