About 8 months have passed since Google announced their Web centric Chrome operating system. An official release from Google is expected by the end of 2010, but developers are free to create operating system builds based on the open source Chromium codebase.
One such Chromium build codenamed Flow is provided by the folks over at Hexxeh, which is reviewed in this video by This Week In Linux in a VirtualBox environment.
The build was already released in February 2010, so the Chromium code base should have changed significantly in the meantime, but the perception that Chromium OS is basically a Web browser built on top of the Linux kernel should still hold true today.
