As announced last week version 1.0 of Jolicloud is currently being rolled out to the users of the netbook operating system. Probably the most obvious change compared to the pre-final release is the new HTML5 based launcher.
About 8 months have passed since Google announced their Web centric Chrome operating system. An official release from Google is expected by the end of 2010, but developers are free to create operating system builds based on the open source Chromium codebase.

Looking at the devices showcased at this year's COMPUTEX in Taipei it doesn't look like 2010 is the year for Linux on netbooks but rather the year of Android based tablets. Seems like every vendor feels the need to compete with Apple's iPad.
