The models in the Acer 13 CB5-311 series will be the first Chromebooks equipped with a 2.1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad core CPU. The T7NN model comes with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB SSD, NVIDIA Kepler GPU with 192 NVIDIA CUDA cores, a 13.3" HD anti-glare display with 1366 x 768 resolution, weighs about 3.3 pounds and offers up to 13 hours battery life, which is a lot.
At the time of writing the Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311 T7NN is available for pre-order in the US. For a quad-core powered Chromebook with a 13.3" screen it looks like a pretty good deal and may well become the legitimate successor of the Acer C720 in terms of popularity.
For people with higher demands the Acer 13 CB5-311 series includes a model with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB SSD that is understandably more expensive.
