The Eee PC 1000HD comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and 10/100, Fast Ethernet and a 56K modem for accessing the internet and can be connected to external devices via three USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth, VGA output, and a MMC/SD(SDHC) card slot.

ASUS provides 10 GB of online storage for the first 18 months after the purchase of this netbook. This additional data storage can be easily accessed via a desktop icon and enables you to transfer up to 5 GB of data per day in a secure manner through file encryption.

The installed Xandros Linux features a variety of applications for media management, browsing the Web, instant messaging, accessing e-mail, an office suite and other typical mobile computing tasks.
