The Chromebook Pixel is an unusual laptop in several respects, it has a 12.85-inch IPS display with a maximum resolution of 2560x1700 pixels and an extra-wide viewing angle of 178° and it is by far the most expensive laptop shipped with Chrome OS to date.

The LTE model of the Chromebook Pixel is powered by a 1.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor. It comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 2-in-1 card reader supporting SD and MMC, Bluetooth 3.0 and a battery that offers up to 5 hours of continued use. The recommended retail price of the LTE version was US $1,449 at the time the Pixel was released.

When you listen to what people like about Chromebooks one aspect mentioned frequently is that they are low-cost and easy to replace with another Chromebook if they break or get lost. Obviously the low-cost part doesn't apply for the Pixel and unsurprisingly it is outsold by many other Chromebooks, still it has quite prominent proponents.
