Computer Giant Dell is the first OEM to ship a netbook that runs a Moblin based Linux distribution, Ubuntu Moblin Remix. The Mini 10v Ubuntu Moblin Remix Developer Edition is designed exclusively for Linux enthusiasts, developers, and Early Adopters, who are aware that Moblin is not a completely stable and bug-free operating system, I wonder which one is.
The Mini 10v has a glossy 10.1" display and is powered by an Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache) processor. Tha basic configuration has an initial price of US $299 and includes 1GB4 DDR2 SDRAM5, a 2.5" 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950, Wireless 802.11g (1397) Mini Card, a 1.3MP webcam, and a 3-cell battery.
On the operating system settings page in in their store Dell states that the Mini 10v with Ubuntu Moblin Remix Developer Edition is not designed for Microsoft Windows-centric users who are unfamiliar with Linux. Dell's warranty does not provide software support for Ubuntu Moblin Remix.
Dell seems very careful with their Moblin based products, though Windows users should e more that used to eunning an OS that is not stable. From my own test runs I can say that Moblin has an awsome user interface and did not suddenly turn off itself or froze to death.
