The ThinkPad X131e is Lenovo's first Chromebook made available to schools in January 2013. The laptop with the rugged chassis is built to stand the daily rigors of K-12 education. As most Chromebooks it has a 11.6" screen but is heavier than most models at 3.9 lbs.
The ThinkPad X131e is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Intel Celeron processor, comes with 4 GB RAM (upgradeable to 8 GB), 16 GB SSD, a 720p Webcam, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA ports.
Being a somewhat special device in the Chromebook universe, this model had a higher initial price than most other Chromebooks with similar specs.
