The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is one of the first devices that comes pre-installed with Google's Chrome OS operating system. The laptop has a 12.1" LED-backlit display with an anti-reflective screen, is powered by a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom dual-core N570 processor and is equipped with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB SSD.

The Series 5 Chromebook features a full-Sized keyboard, a buttonless touchpad with multi-gesture support, a 1 megapixel Webcam, 2 USB ports, a 4-in-1 memory card reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC), and a 6-cell battery that keeps 80 percent of its original capacity for up to 1,000 recharges, which makes it more economical and environmentally friendly than a typical battery.

The Chrome operating system makes it easy to install Web apps via the Web store, features Adobe Flash support and updates itself automatically without prompting the user. Apps and documents are kept in sync in the cloud so users can have the same usage experience on different machines.

Chrome OS is designed for the Web and people who plan to make heavy use of Chrome OS devices need to be ready to spent their digital lives in the cloud and adapt to a new computing experience.
