The 1st generation of Samsung Chromebooks was released about a year ago, so it's high time for an updated model with improved specs, software and boot time, like the one demoed in this short video recorded at IDF Beijing.
This Chromebook boots in just about 5 seconds, which is partly due to improvements in coreboot, a lightweight system to load and run an OS, and updated hardware, such as a new processor based on Intel's Sandy Bridge microarchitecture.
There is no information on availability of new Samsung Chromebooks, but I guess we'll hear more about them the next few weeks.
