Sugar on a Stick is a Live Linux distribution that can be loaded onto any flash drive with at least 1GB storage capacity to boot the child-friendly Sugar learning platform, which was initially developed as part of the non-profit One Laptop per Child project.
In this video Walter Bender, Executive Director of Sugar Labs, a non-profit spin-off of OLPC that further develops the Sugar platform, introduces Sugar on a Stick v2 Blueberry to the audience.
Sugar on a Stick v2, which is built on top of Fedora 12, ships with the latest Sugar release (0.86.3) that features redesigned toolbars, improved wireless networking, EPUB file support for e-books, better Gnash support for Adobe Flash content, easier keyboard configuration, support for tabbed browsing, and a software-update control panel. See the Sucrose 0.86 Release Notes for detailed information.
The video was recorded by Johannes Knapp of NewGadgets.de at the Netbook World Summit 2009 held today in Paris, France.
