Jolicloud is a very promising Ubuntu based netbook distro with a focus on Web based applications and social networks. In this video Peter of Netbooked takes a look at Jolicloud on his ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook.
I haven't tested Jolicloud extensively, but I liked most of what I saw of its nice looking and easy to use interface. Besides many positive aspects Peter also mentions some cons in his post including a very slow Firefox 3.5 and a messed up VLC media player.
Hopefully, these and other issues will be fixed soon and we'll see a public release of Jolicloud, which has been in private alpha testing as of June this year.
I am curious whether manufacturers will adopt Jolicloud. What do you think, will there be a netbook shipping with Jolicloud during the next few months?
