Moblin version 2.0 beta was released today and can be downloaded from the Moblin website. Moblin which is a blending of Mobile Linux is a Linux distro optimized for Intel Atom Processor-based mobile devices like netbooks, nettops, and MIDs.
This is the first release since the Moblin project was handed over from Intel to the Linux foundation in early April 2009. The video gives a first impression of Moblin's user interface, which looks pretty promising to me.
The Moblin images were tested on the following netbooks: Acer Aspire One, Asus Eee PC 901, 1000H, Dell Mini 9, MSI Wind, Lenovo S10, Samsung NC10, HP Mini 1010 and 1120NR.
In addition to the official beta release the openSUSE project provides an installable ISO and USB images of the Moblin UI on top of the openSUSE distribution. Check out openSUSE's announcement and watch the image slideshow they created for demonstration purposes.
