Before the new Samsung Chromebook is even shipping, the first hands-on video by Kevin C. Tofel is already available. In his 12-minute review Kevin initially compares the new model to its series 5 predecessor and then focuses on the brand new laptop.
As far as he can tell after a few hours of testing the performance of the new ARM based device is comparable to the Intel powered Series 5 Chromebook, that was released just about 5 months ago. It's not quite as fast but thinner, lighter and costs $200 less, which are pretty strong arguments if you ask me.
I agree with Kevin that a Chromebook isn't for everyone, but still I think it's the most attractive small laptop of the year 2012.
