Sascha Pallenberg of Germany's No.1 netbook news site demonstrates a new secret netbook at the Linpus booth of this year's computer expo CeBIT. The super slim netbook, which is probably a prototype, is running Linpus Linux Lite, the distribution the Acer Aspire One Linux model is shipped with.
He takes a closer look at the hardware. The netbook has a 10.1" screen, an Intel Atom N270 processor, 512 MB RAM, Solid State Drive for data storage, integrated 3G, WiFi, 3 USB 2.0 ports, SD card slot, webcam, and last but not least a small Vodafone sticker on top, which may indicate that this device will be sold bundled with a telco contract.
Sascha assumes that the netbook may be a reference design from Quanta. He is not very happy about the glossy display and even less satisfied with the small TAB and the needless CAPS LOCK keys. I won't cite him verbatim here ;-) Nonetheless he comes to the conclusion that this damn sexy netbook looks cool.
