Here is another Chromebook video by Robby Payne in which he reviews the Toshiba CB35-B3340 Chromebook 2, the full-HD model with 4GB RAM of Toshiba's 2nd Chromebook.
Robby has used the device for about 2 months and states that it surpassed all his expectations regarding sound, screen, keyboard, trackpad and performance. It is not the fastest Chromebook on the market though.
Moreover, the CB35-B3340 offers great battery life, between 7 to 8 hours fully opened and likely more with the lid less open. The laptop is well built and much more sturdy than the first Toshiba Chromebook.
With the default 1920x1080 resolution, user interface elements like app icons and texts may appear too small for some users. The resolution can be changed in the display settings to scale icons and texts up. With more high-resolution Chrome devices likely to be released, this is something that should be addressed by the Chrome OS designers I guess.
Apart from that about everything else is very convincing and Robby gives the Toshiba CB35-B3340 a huge thumbs-up and says it provides the best overall experience of all Chromebooks on the market right now. Last but not least you can run other Linux systems like Ubuntu without problems using Crouton for example.
