In the video two ASUS Eee PC 900 netbooks are first booted, then Firefox is launched, and finally they are shutdown. One has been running Xandros Linux and the other Windows XP for one month each. The LinuxEee boots faster and is shutdown quite some time before the XPEee. There is no hint what additional software packages are installed on the two machines and which of them are automatically started. In other words this side by side comparison does not proof that the Linux version of the Eee PC 900 is generally faster than the XP model. But it shows that this is the case for these two devices which is nice anyway.
