xPUD is to Firefox what Chrome OS is to Chrome. It is a trimmed-down Linux distribution for netbooks that mainly consists of a Web browser and a media player. xPUD is a very fast and lightweight — the core image has a file size of about 35MB — distro with a simple Web based user interface called plate, that integrates the Mozilla Gecko runtime into the Linux desktop.
This video recorded by Roland from /dev/city shows the latest release of xPUD (v 0.9.2) running inside virtualbox.
