Linux-Netbook.com is dedicated to small laptops running Linux based operating systems. Linux-Netbook.com is proudly powered by open source software, such as Drupal, Apache, PHP, MySQL, and jQuery. Needless to say that the server hosting this site is running Linux.
If you think Linux is not right for you, because it's different and you wouldn't know how to get along with it, Ylmf OS maybe something for you, provided you are used to Windows XP and understand Chinese. Ymlf is an Ubuntu Linux based operating system with a user interface that looks like Windows XP.
This video shows how to boot Ylmf from a USB stick and demoes some applications like instant messenger and Web browser. The desktop theme and start menu should look very familiar to Windows XP users. I got no clue about potential legal issues as a result of cloning the WinXP UI, but it should be better digestible for Microsoft than a pirated copy of Windows XP.
Being satisfied with a distinct look and feel and not speaking Chinese Ylmf OS is not for me. But I can well imagine that it could be an option for Windows users. So if you are a Windows user, would you rather give a Linux based OS a try, if it looked like the system you are used to?

You can change the language setting to English and it switches almost everything over to English (the "start" button does not change as it's a graphic icon).
Regular Ubuntu under the hood.
You can get XP-like themes and icon sets around the web to make a similar system starting with the basic Ubuntu package yourself.
There really isn't an advantage to making your Ubuntu look like Windows (or Mac), do something new and creative - don't be locked into the appearance of those other systems.
That's a got point, instead
That's a got point, instead of copying existing stuff you should try to innovate and improve, that's what I like about the user interfaces of systems like Moblin and Jolicloud.
